This HOLLEY Marine carburettor has had a hard life, suffering from corrosion inside and out it’s going to need a long soak in the carb’ treatment fluid to get this baby clean.

The carb’ has probably been standing around without fuel in it for a long while, the gaskets are the old style material and the inside is full of white powder, the aluminium is oxodising and corroding away, all of the air holes and fuel orrifices are blocked, dismantle, clean with compressed air and then soak in strong cleaning fluid is just the start of the refurbishment of this HOLLEY 80551 650cfm vacuum secondry unit.

One ‘J’ tube is crushed and will need replacing, not as easy as it sounds!

HOLLEY ’1850′ 600CFM Carburettor with vacuum secondary’s.

Completely refurbished, ready to bolt on and go.

A brand new complete baseplate has been used on this carburettor.

Will fit on 260ci up to around 400ci depending on the state of tune of the engine.

Great carb’ for power and economy, on low throttle it will run on just 2 barrels for best fuel mileage but when you floor the accelerator the vaccuum in the intake manifold will bring in the second two barrels/venturis for maximum power.

Just as it came in, a fairly complete Cadillac 425ci V8 engine and GM Turbo Hydramatic 400 automatic transmission.

Comes with distributor, alternator, carburettor, power steering pump and starter.

We have not used or seen this engine run so it’s condition is unknown. It would definitely benefit from a complete teardown, clean and rebuild. I do not know if it needs a rebore or crank grind etc.

There are no exhaust manifolds with it.

A set of 8 forged pistons and GM con rods, used but only used for a few miles before being changed for different compression height pistons and rods etc.

Pistons are L2465 @ +030″ and look like new.

Rods have quality rod bolts fitted and have been resized.

One pair of valve covers for small block Chevrolet.

These are as new, laid on an engine but removed before firing the engine up.

One cover has two dings in the end, nobody knows how these occured ! Dings to the bulk head end of the engine and you wouldn’t know they were there.

Black with the EDELBROCK Logo in silver script on top, complete with breathers.

Supplied with 2 valve cover gaskets if required, cork or rubber.
